Vita Isola Leisure Farm Review

Last week, our small family celebrated four birthdays: Aiesha, Seth, Dave and James. James and I traveled from Cebu to Tagbilaran, Bohol via Oceanjet. Took a trike towards Camella Homes where my sister in law and her two kids Aiesha and Seth, the birthday celebrants live.

On the next day, we went to Vita Isola Leisure Farm and this is my personal review on the resort. I had written two blogs about this resort on my other blog, you might want to check it out too. The links are located at the bottom of this blog post.

"More than just a premier destination north of Bohol, we offer you a place to reconnect with yourselves."

About Vita Isola Leisure Farm

Vita Isola means island living. The resort offers certain activities and amenities but there's a great reason why we love coming back. This was our second visit. On the first visit, we were only six and the resort was just newly opened, the pool was still unusable as there were no life guards present. On the second visit, we brought the entire family and some extended ones and the entire resort is already functional. Here are the details:

Fees

Entrance fee is worth Php 500 which includes a Php 300 consumable but use of pool is not included, if you want to swim, you may pay an additional of Php 300. For kids 4 years old and below, entrance fee is free but you still have to pay the pool usage fee.

Getting inside the resort, one has to pay the complete entrance fees from the security guard. From there, we can already see the caged farm animals from rabbits, to chickens, ducks, goats and a lot more. They basically take their supply from here, at least majority of the time.

Organic Farm

Then their organic farm can also be seen from the entrance passage way towards the parking area. The farm has more plants this time ranging from these lady fingers, to lettuce, rosemary and other herbs and even local vegetables, they got it all here. Check out this video made by my brother showcasing the farm:

The resort allows a tour to their farm too! It includes a specific fee of Php 1,200 which includes:

Free Entrance
Welcome Drinks
Organic Farm Tour
Farm Animals Tour
Lunch Meal
Aqua Culture Tour
Fishing
Free PM Snack

This however requires a minimum of 5 persons and a maximum of 10 persons. We didn't avail of this because tour in the farm can be done for free and it is just a walk in the park!

Vita Isola Restaurant

After seeing the farm, the next spot to find is their main restaurant, this is a native, rustic old house which was turned into a restaurant, however, the house is still very functional. In fact, we could see through the inside from the glass sliding door:

The inside was really nice, it has wooden stuffs and properly designed accessories. I would love to get inside but this was not for public use, I believe the owner's family visits here every now and then. This is also a two-storey house so I believe the second floor would be a perfect spot to see the entire resort.

Anyway, we stayed at the restaurant which is still very refreshing. There were two huge wood tables and native bench. The resort's staff were wearing clean white shirt and they were all courteous and very accommodating.

One of the things to notice here is the folk dance playing on the background, its on repeat and you'll somehow feel like dancing. Our orders were taken as soon as we arrived so the kitchen could prepare it.

It took some time for the food to be served, we arrived at around 11 in the morning so we were a little hungry already. Here are just some of the food that we ordered:

Obviously, it was tasty, in fact, nothing were left on our tables. Even the Relenong Bangus was really tasty and the fresh salad was my favorite! The only downside though is that the prices are very high and we understand this considering that their location from the market is definitely far and they also pay workers to maintain their farm.

Also, they got a buffet offer for Php 590. It requires the customers to call in for reservation if they'd love to take advantage of that. Currently, the resort offers a weekday promo where your entrance fee of Php 500 will be used 100% consumable so it is best to visit here during weekdays. Unfortunately for us, we went on a weekend.

On their website, the buffet costs more but when I inquired a few days before visiting, this was the price that the customer service mentioned to me via their Facebook messenger.

Pool and Other Amenities

Our two kids love swimming and so when they both saw the pool, they were already dying to dive in. We had to wait until we finished lunch before allowing them to go though. So after the sumptuous lunch, they both headed to the pool, which by the way is indeed very inciting. There were some other guests who were swimming but it was not too crowded.

These two are very excited! They can't wait for their grandpa who's behind them.

Look at his face!

Indeed she enjoyed the pool!
Do you notice the background? There's a beach and the resort has its own fishing area too or specifically called aqua culture which homes a variety of fishes from bangus ( milkfish) , ketong, pompano and abalone shells!

Other amenities includes aqua sports such as Single Kayak, Tandem Kayak, , Stand Up Paddle Board, Mangrove Tour and Snorkeling. For rates, kindly visit their website here.

Only one of us went for a snorkeling. They don't have a shoreline though but they do have a boardwalk towards the sea. The best thing to do before going out is to stay under the coconut trees and try to sleep on their pretty white hammock just right in front of La Casita, another house which homes the owner before but today, they already have it open for rent.

La Casita means the little house. According to their website:

It is a splendid and comfortable two-bedroom house that can accommodate two persons to a room. Each bedroom has its own toilet and bath. The Masters Bedroom has 41” TV with Satellite DTV. It’s got a living room with sala set, with a small kitchen, and a refrigerator. La Casita also has a veranda with an awesome scenic view of the sea. You get free use of the swimming pool as well and free breakfast for four persons.

Overall

After two visits, I could still say that the resort is a perfect getaway to step back from the busy-ness of life, to just inhale fresh air, to eat good and organic food from farm to table, to enjoy and appreciate nature and to give our time back to our family, sharing the same table over good food and laughter.

I would surely go back again soon!

Also, their customer service is really the best! I sent a personal message to their Facebook page and I got immediate replies every time. All my questions were answered and they even offer certain promos. Keep it up!

How to Get to Vita Isola?

From Tagbilaran City, take a public transportation going to Tubigon, this can either be bus or jeepney. At the Sandingan junction, habal-habal drivers will be available to take you to the entrance of the said resort. This will only cost you a total of Php 45, Php 25 for the bus/jeepney fare and Php 20 for the motorcycle.

It is easy to reach the location but it is best to come early but ensure you got reservations because the resort only allows 30 persons to ensure that every guest can fully experience the peace and tranquillity while at the resort.
